Our partner, Attorney at Law Tijana Filipović, as head of the Employment Law Department, delivered a workshop on September 2, 2025, at the research and development center of a multinational company in Belgrade, addressing the topic of workplace harassment and sexual harassment.
Tijana introduced the participants to the general rules of workplace conduct, as well as the types of behavior that employees must refrain from (inappropriate communication, disruption of good interpersonal relations, damage to personal reputation, violation of professional integrity, harm to health, and sexual harassment). The workshop also addressed key issues related to recommendations for preventing conduct that may lead to workplace harassment.
Judging by the participants’ reactions, the most engaging part of the session was the chapter on practical application, namely answering the question: “What should be done in case of suspicion that an employee is exposed to harassment?”
Through vivid examples and case studies drawn from the extensive practice of our legal team, Tijana made the workshop dynamic and encouraged participants to actively engage by asking questions both during and after the session.
In addition, Tijana provided guidance to all employees on the importance of attempting mediation with the employer as a mechanism that can be highly effective and beneficial for all parties involved—the employer, the alleged harasser, and the employee subjected to harassment.
